Thank You
I’d like to thank everyone who responded to my Career Opinion Pl0x post. I also received a good amount of feedback on FB, which I also appreciate. I believe it helped spark a bit of motivation. Yesterday I began writing a screenplay, which I’m happy to say I had to write on faxing paper at work, so you know the ideas are starting to flow again. Hopefully this is just the beginning and...

Men and Women in Mensa →
This is an interesting article by Mary W. Mathews that explores the favoritism of the left lobe, it’s role on sexism, and the misrepresentation of women in an educated society.

My Reply to Skinny Bashing
You can love your body without insulting others. JS. Women come in all shapes and sizes, and if you want to make a change for the better it’s not by insulting skinny women, It’s by accepting the fact that both are beautiful. People like to complain about how society has created an unobtainable image of beauty, and I don’t completely disagree with that, but take responsibility for...

Career Opinion Pl0x
I know you guys don’t know me too well, and I have really been slacking with my own art and expression, but I’d like your opinion. Based on what you have seen/read what do you think I am best at? Photography, modeling, or writing? I know I don’t have much to show for all of that, but I plan to change that. Would love your opinions, if you have one?

Ignorance is Bliss
Elle: Conformity is a contagious stifling disease.. and conforming your thought patterns, that is a tragic epidemic.
Amber: It is, but sadly, I'm not entirely sure it's conscious.
Amber: I'm seriously starting to wonder if they're even capable of expanding in that way... maybe they're just built that way and we have to adapt to what is rather than what should be.
Elle: And that is what makes it so deadly.
Elle: Adapting is the death of evolution. When one simply conforms to what will put them in a social bubble of mutual understanding, instead of breaking the mold, teaching the masses, evolving the thought process. Ugh.
Amber: I think the only thing more infuriating than them not caring.. is the fact that without the masses caring, it's nearly impossible to effect large scale change.. they look at you like, why do you care? Just ignore it like the rest of us do, dummy. :|
Elle: And that is why you can't just have a great mind to make change, you have to have patience and great resolve. This is why brilliant people sometimes go batty.
Elle: In a world of pre-programmed minds.. genius is madness. Sometimes I wonder if we would be better off screening couples before allowing them to create life. I am sure we would have a lot more natural resources to go around, to say the least.
Amber: I think it has a lot to do with the stigma attached to birth control and how difficult it can be to obtain in some situations plus the stupid abstinence view... like kids aren't going to have sex if it isn't talked about.smh.
Amber: I also feel like a lot of people have kids to fill spaces/needs that're missing and always looking at their kids through that selfish lens that ensures they end up fucked up. :|
Elle: Out of sight out of mind only works on those that don't actively use theirs.
Elle: A lot of people don't know what to make of their lives, so they just have another (life) and throw all their hopes into it. Living vicariously through their offspring, which often end up mimicking them.. and in the end we are left with a flowerless family tree.. existing just to exist.
Amber: ...Yet another thing I wish I could un-know.. because it's beyond wrong, yet you can't fix it because the solution would seem beyond drastic. :/
Elle: And so we must pick between growth and happiness.. so it would seem.
Amber: *sigh* What is happiness, anyway?
Elle: I am beginning to think it is something only the feeble minded can put to words.
Amber: Ignorance truly is bliss, then? Ick.
Elle: Bliss is obtained when you simply accept what you have is the best you can get. Those that look for more and question every plateau never find bliss. Bliss is an imaginary concept, created to shield the weak from taking responsibility for their place in the world.

I mean what I say, I say what I mean
I have always been one to speak my mind, and my mind is always running at speeds that would land me a ticket in the physical realm. I am more of a literal person, which I am learning may not be the norm. I often get accused of “twisting” other’s words, when in reality I am defining the essence of what they actually said. It turns out most people don’t actually say what they...
